Free Love, Good Stuff and Legal Babble
First off, we'd like to take a moment to clarify that in no way do we support the nazi régime, white supremacy, slavery or any illegal or inhumane activities, murder, mayhem or vigilantism. The historical accounts and documents on this site are provided as proof of the times in history when they were recorded and in no way reflect the beliefs or views of this Society or that of it's members. At all times we aim for historical accuracy in our work, even when it's nasty or immoral.
We know a lot of people like the look and
feel of our site. The graphics and content found on SnowStones.com and
SkeletonGen.com have been
designed with The Closet Skeleton Genealogical Society in mind. All look and
feel is copyrighted material. We don't mind
sharing... It's the whole point of what we're doing. We do ask that you provide
source and credit if you're using our images, and that you provide a link to us
letting people know what we're about. We don't make any money off our research
or images - it actually costs us to do all this - so we'd ask that you do the same
and keep it free. Keep it honest, keep your information
as truthful as possible and generally use the stuff you're borrowing for good
things - In other words, family safe sites are good, creepy porn is bad.
Also don't hesitate to let us know if you're borrowing something, we'll even
give you a link. It's all about goodness and love!
We also like to mention that some of the images and information used in producing our website are considered public domain and or public record, and have been used accordingly. If at any point there is an error in the website in crediting, source or research please don't hesitate to e-mail us. We honestly do our best with it all, but we're only human :) We use photo stock for most of our exotic images, the rest of it comes from the use of our cameras on location through out the cemeteries and locations where we're doing our research. We use a variety of different sources for our records, please check out the links for our lists.
We'd also like to be very clear on
requesting that you copy the images onto your own website for hosting, because
we don't want our bandwidth eaten up from people linking images directly to our
server. That's a very naughty thing to do, and it makes the tech heads
cranky, so please don't irritate them!
All content look and feel is the respective creation of it's owners and is
subject to their own personal whims. In other words, we work as a team and keep
everything up as a group, but we're all entitled to claim our own writing and
graphics. We're a pretty relaxed group, if there's something
you need, ask. Worst we can say is no!
Our research and information is intended for educational and/or entertainment
value only. This is a non-profit venture, although our members are free to
privately commit to research projects, book making deals or whatever on their
own time. We promise if any of us sign a multi-million dollar book deal, we'll
be the first to brag about it all over this website and any other.
Please try to keep in mind, as we do, through out this research and documentation, that this work is all about human beings. These people lived, loved and died. They are at all times to be respected and treated with dignity. We, the living, might not believe as they did or they might not have worshiped as we do, but there must be respect and freedom of choice for all. There is also, in everything we do, a constant respect for the privacy of the living and a sensitivity to the passing of loved ones. We are a type of Historians, in this learning and education, and encourage others to take pride in the past, and to educate the present and to preserve for the future. On that same note, names of living relatives found in public documents such as obituaries and on grave markers will be posted on this site for historical accuracy. If concerned about this, please e-mail us with your concerns.
Nothing we, the Closet Skeleton
Genealogical Society, display in any of our various incarnations online or in
living colour is meant to advise in medical, legal or psychological matters. In
the case of needing such assistance please seek out professional consultation.
We, the Closet Skeleton Genealogical Society, cannot take responsibility for
content displayed on out bound links. Please click responsibly.
This site is a non denominational site, although our team, our ancestors and our families all may have religious views (Some of them super strong ones!) We're endeavoring to maintain a spiritual consciousness without religious preference, prejudice or intoned beliefs beyond historical reference. If we fail at this in any fashion, those offended have our most sincerest apologies.
We would also like to request that in so
much as we have made the effort to work solely with the deceased members of our
family histories, those who work along side us respect our living descendants
rights to privacy. Just because we're interested in the who, where, when
and why, doesn't mean everyone is, and we always try to respect that.
Finally, the information provided on this site is known to us to be true.
Through time, diligence and a whole lot of hard work we've put together the
family histories and information found here-in. Our sources are credited and
listed as best we possibly can, if there is any question to data organized
within this site, please contact the site administrators, who would be happy to
provide sources or clarify our research methods. Please note that some sources
will be from actual living accounts of relatives, or accounts from relatives who
have passed on. In such cases the best we can do is tell you what we've been
told. Hopefully, the hard copies of records will support the facts. On the same
note, information gathered from websites past and present will be noted as such
- mostly in our google notepad and our links section. The internet is too valuable a source to
discount anything that we find, but everything is with a grain of salt, and of
course we like to do the legwork to prove or disprove any possibilities.
